The next Central Wisconsin Tobacco Free Coalition meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 13th from 1:30-3:30 PM at the Ruth Gilfry Building in Stevens Point.

Coalition News

On January 14th the City Council for the City of Wausau voted unanimously to approve an amendment to include e-cigarettes into the current Clean Indoor Air ordinance. This means that e-cigarettes can no longer be used indoors where smoking cigarettes is not allowed.

New Tips from Former Smokers Ads

On January 25th, the CDC began airing a new round of ads from the Tips from Former Smokers campaign. The new ads raise awareness about chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), depression and anxiety, dual use of both cigarettes and e-cigarettes, smokers’ risk for heart disease and a cancer survivor.
